NEC Corporation, the first WiMAX equipment manufacturer certified through the WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Lab in Taiwan in June, recently saw further progress in its WiMAX development with the receipt of WiMAX Forum certification for its 2.5GHz product portfolio, according to a TMCnet report on September 2. The batch of NEC WiMAX products awarded 2.5GHz certification includes base stations, mobile subscriber units, and PC cards.
